Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Job description / Role

- Implement registration programs to secure market authorizations for Saudi sales of Ecolab products and facilitate registration related activities
- Monitor and share regulation changes to ensure continued compliance
- Build relationships with government agencies and the businesses
- Provide subject matter expertise in Saudi regulations related to Ecolab products and raw materials
- Apply for / maintain licenses for import / export/ site storage of regulated raw materials and products.
- Works in close cooperation with Supply chain Manager
- Prepares, coordinates and secures necessary authorizations, registrations and/or documentation needed for regulatory compliance against MEA regulations concerning Ecolab products and raw materials
- Pro-actively maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements imposed by government agencies in Saudi Arabia.
- Assess and promote compliance with existing laws and regulations pertaining to the position.
- Develop and provide detailed understanding of regulatory processes of key agencies
- Coordinate registration processes between Ecolab facilities in Saudi, Ecolab distributors and Ecolab facilities in the EU providing the intermediates and products to be used and marketed in Saudi
- Complete complex assignments which require specific regulatory knowledge and handle compliance issues.
- Respond to internal/external customer enquiries

Requirements

- University / Master degree in pharmacology, chemistry, toxicology, engineering or related life science degree
- 3 to 5 years professional experience in the area of Regulatory Affairs also in the area of Disinfectant, cosmetic, and sanitizers (biocides). Medical Devices, medicinal products knowledge is advantage.
- Track record of exposure to relevant regulatory agencies.
- Experience with governmental regulatory programs such as SFDA, MOH and other regulations.
- Familiar with Hazard communication side (MSDS, labels, GHS)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing import, distribution and sales in South Africa
- Good problem solving skills
- Demonstrated grasp of business and regulatory processes
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional use of the English language both written and oral
- Good with Microsoft application, Excel, word, Power point.
- Ability to work well independently under general direction.
- Able and willing to travel frequenetly within Saudi Arabia.
