Call Centre Agent - Doha

We are recruiting a Call Centre Agent. We are looking for a dedicated individual to project a professional image of British Council and provide high quality, welcoming and efficient enquiry services for the full range of the British Council’s English and Exams activities, product and services through the call centre.

As the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, the British Council was founded to create a friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and the wider world. We call this work cultural relations. We work in over 100 countries, connecting millions of people with the United Kingdom through programmes and services in the English language, the Arts, Education and Society. We believe these are the most effective means of engaging with others, and we have been doing this work since 1934.

The British Council has been operating in Qatar since 1972, and currently employs 85 full time staff from a very diverse background.

Requirements

Applicants should have some experience in a customer-facing role and be a high school graduate. They must also possess the following skills;

- English - Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing (Level B2)
- Arabic - Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing (Level C1)
- Using Technology (Level 1)
- Communicating & Influencing (Level 2)
- Analysing Data and Problems (Level 1)

Desirables may be used during short listing in the event of a large number of applicants for the posts and priority will be given to applicants who already are in Qatar.

Pay Band J / QAR6,645 per month / Full-Time (37.5 hours/week) / 6 Months Fixed Term Contract / Doha, Qatar / Application Start Date: 20 September 2016 / Application Closing Date: 3 October 2016 at 23:59 UK time / Joining Date: 1 November 2016
