Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Director of Brand to direct the Creative division creatively and managerially. This role is responsible to:
- Execute a work strategy that guarantees delivering highest product quality, by following the firms brand guidelines and seeking continuous progress in daily news and programs graphics delivery.
- Establish and develop the firms Sport brand and its constituent channels and divisions.
- Develop a robust branding strategy across the network managing and implementing workflow and operational processes to develop a consistent and clear branding system and guidelines across the Network.
- Provide the overall brand guidance and development across the content and activities of the firm.
- Be the single point of contact for the implementation of the firms Sport brand strategy across all internal and external communication, including marketing, advertising, promotion and new content development activities.
- Devising and managing an effective strategy to provide consistency and build value to the organization both internally and externally.

Managing a high performing team; this role is responsible for the following:
- Manage the firms Sport Brand Directorate activity related to internal and external communications across all business activities, ensuring a consistent guideline policy is followed.
- Manage and be the primary contact point for all brand research related activity, marketing, advertising, promotional and new product or content development and activities.
- Develop and implement brand guideline policies to effectively reach all employees in their application and usage of the firms Sport brand.
- Support a marketing strategy to communicate the value proposition of the Sport brand, its channels and multimedia content and products and influence the acquisition of content.
- Provide leadership and creative support and guidance to the firms Sport Creative teams across print, on-screen, web and promotions.
- Spearhead the branding of the channel, commissioning and liaising with external companies to find innovative designs to constantly keep the channel fresh, maintain high design standards, and meet the goals of the Network to remain a pertinent source of information globally.
- Liaising with fellow heads to ensure consistency of the channel output, from web design to styling, graphics, programme and news branding, indents, as well as set design.
- Communicate with editorial and creative teams to guarantee creative visual solutions for daily news stories.
- Create and ensure compliance with workflow processes and procedures.
- Assemble and assign multiple creative teams for daily work and special projects.
- Set design priorities and manage work schedules among the team.
- Review and monitor daily work designs and ensure delivery of highest quality standards graphically and visually.
- Work on conceptualizing / brainstorming on project / deliverables based on the Creative Brief or assignment / task in coordination with senior section staff.
- Ensure that all graphics products comply with the channel and network brand standards and guidelines.
- Meet news staff on a daily basis to guarantee detailed knowledge of editorial agenda.
- Follow up and provide guidance and support to team members. Assemble and assign multiple creative teams for daily work and special projects.
- Manage the process of offering first line maintenance support of relevant technical equipment.
- Supervise, train and advise management on new materials/equipment and industry trends.
- Liaise with Heads of Directors on all matters relating to on screen graphics.
- Liaise with the Creative team to ensure branding standards are always maintained and up to date.
- Liaise with the Creative team to ensure new graphics templates are introduced to the play out system.
- Liaise with Studio Graphics Team leaders on the day to day running of the Studio Graphics section.
- Advise on integrating graphics into new media platforms

Requirements

- Minimum BA in Business, Marketing or comparable, Master degree in Business or related field highly regarded
- Minimum 12 years in brand marketing with global coverage in the broadcasting sector.
- Good understanding of Media industry and commercial projects
- Candidates must be bilingual in English and Arabic.
