Job description / Role

An Estimator is required to join a large Estimating Department for one of the lading main contractors based in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will join a highly reputable UK owned main contractor and will assist in the Estimating and Tendering of projects across all sectors of construction.

The hiring company are a multi disciplined main contractor and the projects that they will be tendering will be across all sectors of construction, with a combination of small, medium and mega sized projects.

This is very much a hands on role, working as part of a large Estimating department. You will assist Senior Estimators with day to day tasks and learn from

Requirements

- A degree in a relevant subject (or similar equivalent qualification) is essential
- Previous experience in a Estimating role is essential. Ideally a candidate who has spent 100% of their time in an Estimating role, however candidates with different job titles such as Quantity Surveyor who have spent large parts of their role Estimating will be considered
- Ideally candidates will have worked for reputable main contractors previously and will have therefore built up the mentality of following good systems and procedures
- An enthusiastic approach to work is required. An individual who is hungry to learn and not afraid to get their hands dirty
- Candidates with the desire to have a long term career in estimating are preferred
- Previous Middle Eastern experience is NOT essential for this role
- Experience of using CCS Candy software would be an advantage but full training can be given to the right candidate
