Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Review and approve submittals such as Drawings, Method Statements, Material Submittals and Inspection Test Plans, ensuring they are in compliance with specifications, requirements, standards and procedures related to Plants.
- Familiar with international codes and standards relating to Gas Piping, Gas Farm and SNG Plants such as NFPA 54, NFPA 58, UKLPGA, ASME BPVC, ASTM, BS, ISO and etc.
- Can work independently with minimum supervision and be able to monitor and/or perform activities at all stages of project.
- Think creatively and logically to resolve various issues that arise on site
- Interact and communicate effectively with other team members and Contractors.
- Can lead a team of inspectors and will be responsible for ensuring the inspectors understand their roles and meet RFI deadlines.
- Initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs) as needed
- Have fluent command of the English language (spoken and written) and be able to write competent reports for closure of all drawings and submittals.
- Provide feedback to Senior Engineer/Plant Project Manager on progress, issues on site and deliverables through meetings, emails, reports and discussions
- Oversee inspectors and their inspections to ensure works are carried out according to approved documents and specifications
- Create weekly and Monthly reports
- Review as built drawings /documents

Key Accountabilities:
- To review and supervise all aspects of the Gas Farm / SNG Plant design and construction.

Job Related Competencies:
- Good command over English language both oral and written.
- Excellent technical skills.
- Ability to manage, coordinate and direct others Familiarity with industry practices, local regulations, specifications, international standards and (NFPA & IGEM)

Requirements

- A degree (B.S.) in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
- 7 - 10 years experience in major utility plant construction and Gas Farm / SNG equipment.
- Having Gas Competency License, Professional qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Experience in the utilities industry or in large scale project management environment would be ideal

Working Conditions:
- Mainly office based with regular visits to site to directly ascertain the project progress/verify effectiveness of quality control measures
- Work on-site, carry out inspections and work at office
