Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Directing, managing and coordinating business applications development in Bank, ensuring that systems operate effectively, provide the IT software infrastructure of the Bank and contribute to Banks business/operation development vision & policy with regard to quality standards and bank strategic planning.

Manage, coordinate and administer all the current and prospective business application development projects.

Develop & implement policy, procedures & standards in relation to software development IT.

Implement & manage projects in support of the delivery of IT.

Develop and deliver innovative IT Service solutions to the business in accordance with agreed priorities, plans and standards

Maintain professional awareness of international developments and trends in IT and related areas and how they are influencing business and IT Operations.

Manage development staff performance & training and develop their skills related to IT.

Coordinates development resources in order to meet expected outcome and product quality standards

Review the software/systems development lifecycle and workflow

Establishes programming standards and program documentation requirements

Reviews current status of system applications and prepares recommendations for improvements

Provides technical direction to the project team

Identify resource needs and enforces project and delivery standards

To attend any scheduled training or courses that enhances the self professionalism and productivity.

Self understanding and implementation to the bank's published policies, procedures and regulations, and staff ethics/appreciation/penalties

Annual targets are determined for the employee with relative specified weight and (KPI) for each one, these targets must be achieved collectively, and According to the employee's performance the decision-making regarding the promotion and / or determining the value of performance bonus or financial incentive and / or salary adjustment in accordance with the principles and mechanisms adopted by Board of Directors.

These targets include the following:
- Financial targets which are associated with the annual budget plus some associated indicators and ratios.
- Non-financial performance indicators which include technical, administrative, operational and soft skills specified for each managerial and operational staff level.

Requirements

- B.Sc. in Computing or related field with 10+ years of progressive experience in an IT Operational environment in the Banking industry is a pre-requisite.
- Experience of service delivery within an IT Service delivery framework (e.g. ITIL) will be a strong advantage.
- Extensive/deep knowledge in Equation core banking systems and related banking products.
- In-depth knowledge of IT Operational functions- capable of applying the understanding of core IT business functions, processes and strategic plans to daily actions in order to support the corresponding business processes.
- Knowledge of established programming procedures and programming languages.
- Perform complex modification and testing on vendor-supplied utilities and packages to best suit the operating environment
- Knowledge of current security standards and their application will be an added advantage

Special Skills:
- Leadership and team building skills capable of directing others towards shared objectives whilst building credibility and trust
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Well organized, good communication and reporting skills
- Self motivated, team player, action-and-results oriented
- Good experience in projects management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English & Arabic.
