Landscape Architect

Job description / Role

Preparation and design of high quality landscape concept designs, preliminary designs, detailed design, artscape (sculpture), water features, grading / topography, green roof design; inclusive but not limited to:
- Hardscape
- Artscape
- Softscape (interior and exterior)
- Solid grading plan skills
- Site Details (ability to prepare cross sections, material call outs and plan view of site details)
- Water Feature Design/Detail
- Landscape Lighting
- Green roof design
- Specifications
- Quantities (assist in preparation of BoQ).
- Intermediate or more in the following software applications: AutoCAD 2D-3D, Adobe, Sketch-Up, 3D Studio Max

Compiles and analyzes data on such site conditions such as but not limited to land use, site context, geographic location, soil, vegetation, and rock features, drainage, and location of structures for preparation of landscaping plans. Coordination with other relevant disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Lighting, Mechanical, Traffic and Utility Engineers and Architects.

Requirements

Degree in Landscape Architecture with minimum seven (7) years experience in Softscape, Hardscape and Artscape of exterior and interior landscape packages with a preference for GCC experience.

Ideal candidate should have good design and presentation skills, creative ability, imagination and enthusiasm, good observation skills, an eye for details, strong ability to project manage and track all components of a project as related to Landscape and beyond.

Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate in graphic, verbal and written form of English. Team player (working with those at various organizational levels). Take direction well and implement changes as necessary. Ability to do conceptual plans and presentations. Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment. Strong desire to be the best and produce the best work.
