Senior Landscape Architect

Job description / Role

We are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Landscape Architect for our prestigious multi-billion Riyal project in Doha, Qatar.

You will be involved in landscape project planning, co-ordination and management, and implementation, including managing and directing sub-consultants.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design Coordination and review role during post contract period;
- Advise impact of design proposals on landscape works and the Master Plan;
- Supervision and inspection of landscape construction works and reports;
- Review shop drawings and make recommendations;
- Off-site and on-site inspections of materials and mock-ups;
- Review Contractor submittals and make recommendations;
- Respond to Requests for Information from contractors;
- Review Change Order requests and make recommendations;
- Review and make recommendations on Contractor’s claims;
- Check and certify progress payments to the Contractor;
- Assist the preparation of weekly and monthly reports;
- Preparation and monitoring punching lists;
- Final inspections and certifications.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be liaising closely with other consultants, Client’s PMCM and contractors and participating in coordination meetings. You will ensure smooth operations on site, plan resources and attend site meetings with Client(s) and provide advice on design work. Construction tender analysis, technical evaluations. Write reports and make presentations to the Client.

Requirements

- BSc in Landscape.
- Minimum of 10 years in construction and design experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to proactively identify potential problems and propose solutions.
- Ability to team build, organize staff and prioritize work.
- Ability to work well within and lead a team of mixed nationalities.
- Experience in Microsoft applications.
- Ability to build rapport with work colleagues.
