Technical Manager (Ready Mix Concrete) - Based in Qatar
Salary up to US$ 82,000
A market leader in Ready Mix Concrete located in the Middle East has a vacancy open for the position of a Technical Manager.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in a management role in the technical/quality function of a ready mix concrete company with a sound knowledge of concrete technology, associated quality systems and a strong commitment to Health & Safety, welfare and the environment.
This role will lead technical support for both internal and external customers and have excellent communication skills. You will be involved in the development and promotion of new products, management, motivation and development of the all technical staff whilst ensuring compliance with Company, National and International Standards.
- Continued development of the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures. Analyses of QC results and track KPIs for concrete and raw material.
- Responsible for driving yearly Quality and Cost Savings Action Plans for the BU
- Pro-actively drives the implementation of VAPs and provides technical support to the sales team production and operations departments.
- Responsible for mix designs, cost reduction and drive TOP 10 tracking. Also takes part in raw material selection and characterization.
- Manage the activities of the central laboratory and manage the quality technicians team.
- Develop technical skills for quality by training technicians.
Requirements
- Recognised Graduate qualification in Engineering or appropriate post graduate Diploma in Concrete and Advanced Concrete Technology
- 10 to 15 years relevant experience managing a business unit.
- Gulf experience within the ready mix concrete industry.
- Ability to lead a diverse group of people and manage associated functions of the branch.
- English communication skills is a must.
