Job description / Role
Our client, a multinational retail company is seeking for Finance Manager - French speaker based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Budget
* The Finance Manager - French Speaker should initiate and lead the budget processes, by performing retro-planning and coordinate with other departments on information requirements
* Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction by elaborating 3 years plan budget
* Develop appropriate tools and use of standardized templates to lead the consolidation process of budget data to provide a running estimate and analysis of P&Ls
* Formalize presentation and source of change to lead the iterations of processes to reach the final equation
* Develop P&L by country, by retailer, Balance sheet, Budget reporting book requested by Central HQ, board & presentation
Controlling
* Produce the required and appropriate tools to assess the performance of each critical initiative (ROI of activation, launch ...) to actively participate of decision making process of key investments
* Anticipate financial problems and recommend action plans for overall budget control
* Continually seek to improve processing efficiency and controlling capabilities of the company
* Participate in the implementation of Finance / IT projects for the controlling functions
* Provide all documentation and required information to internal and external audit
* Improve the stock management by reviewing and elaborate action plan, set yearly target of stock coverage in collaboration with Logistic manager, analyse and review stock situation at PCDO, Agents and retailers level across the region in collaboration with Commercial department
* Actively participate in forecast & assortment process to assure forecast is in line with budget and optimisation of sales and stock management
Reporting
* Manage the month-end financial closing process
* Be accountable on all P&L entries and source of change elements against comparable periods
* Supervise monthly and quarterly reporting (Syrus monthly/quarterly detailed P&L and balance sheet)
* Prepare the monthly management business reports with analytical comments to HQ & Local Management
* Monthly meeting of P&L & financial review with management
* Monthly conference call with HQ on financials
* Provide monthly analysis on costs by nature, analyzing main variances with latest revision, budget and previous year including recommendation to departments
Commercial Terms & Business development
* Manage all financial aspects of existing and new business set-ups with local partners
* Maintain price structure validated with the agents
* Elaborate Retail Sale Price in collaboration with GM and Marketing, calculate the Export Sale Prices and POSM prices
* Elaborate price analysis on each launch to optimize margin and sales
* To follow up on distributors and retailers commercial agreements at regional level by coordinating with legal department and headquarter
* To assist General Manager in business development by elaborating business plan and price structure analysis and implementation
* Assess business risks and opportunities and communicate with management, partners and peers accordingly
Requirements
* The successful Finance Manager - French Speaker should have Retail experience
* French Speaker is a MUST
* Should be qualified (business school)
* Big 4 and corporate experience
