Job description / Role
Our client a hotel based in Dubai is looking to expand the financial systems team, reporting to the Director of Finance Systems the role will be to manage and coordinate the implementation of a robust data structure including Sun Systems, Hyperion Planning and Hyperion financial planning.
- Liaise with system owners and end-users at the corporate and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) levels to define the business financial operations’ requirements and goals
- Coordinate and prioritise the ongoing development and modification of financial IT systems and procedures, and manage internal conflicts to ensure efficient systems and procedures are available as required
- Develop, implement and coordinate group-wide finance master data management strategies, policies and procedures in order to ensure that the correct structure supported by the likes of Sun, Hyperion, and Oracle financial systems, is aligned, integrated and supports the organization’s financial and business requirements.
- Handle support queries for Hyperion Planning and Financial Management, plus their related products and maintain mappings within Hyperion and be responsible for the maintenance of standard COA between SUN and Hyperion products
- Liaise with IT on future systems development plans for the Group and implications on Finance of all planned software upgrades, refreshes, etc to ensure that the systems are reflective of the needs of the function
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during their annual audits in order to provide any supporting information required and ensure that audit requirements are met
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in IT or Finance Systems, preferably within the international hospitality industry or a recognized blue-chip organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Information Technology or equivalent
- Experience in support or development of Hyperion products
- Experience in Master Data Methodology
- Knowledge of financial processes and statements, internal controls, external regulations and audit requirements
