Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The General Manager, Corporate Identity will be responsible for governance, managing, deployment and development of the Companys corporate brand identity(ies).

The role will act as an expert reference resource for operating entities whilst looking for pragmatic solutions in applications that further the Companys commercial goals. It will be responsible for managing the interrelationships between brands in the Companys portfolio at a positioning and trademark level.

Key Activities:
- Creates and maintains a corporate brand identity plan and brand identity strategy ensuring all aspects of the product(s), service(s), or company(ies) marketing and activities align with the ethos & goals of the brand of the Company and their respective sub-positions in the agreed Brand Architecture framework.
- Manages the relationships between brands on the Abdul Latif Jameel portfolio both in terms of relative positioning and for trademark management and governance.
- Works with the team to develop high quality and effective collateral materials that align with the overall brand strategy.
- Manages the governance of brand assets in line with corporate brand identity guidelines, including the development, deployment and management of an internal brand portal/channel for all digital asset management, tracking usage, rights issues and IPR governance.
- Works with the Global Brand and Communications Team to manage the development and deployment of group brands visual and tonal interpretation for all internal and external communications.
- Aligns the corporate and business units around the brands direction, choices & tactics acting as an advocate to champion the brand internally making sure all elements of the Company understand the brand architecture and its goals.
- Collaborate with agencies & other vendor partners

Requirements

- 10+ years in the marketing/marketing services industry, including specifically 3+ years of experience as brand or corporate identity (governance/implementation).
- Experience with corporate identity management systems/processes in a (preferably diversified) Group or Holding Co., environment.
- Proven ability to develop brand identity development strategies & effectively communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with numbers, metrics & spreadsheets, etc.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal & the ability to influence on a 360 basis both up and down the organization is essential.
- Bachelor/Masters degree in Marketing, or directly associated business discipline
