Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A pragmatic and dynamic legal firm with a network of 40 offices and 2500 staff over 6 continents is now looking for an Arabic speaking Researcher to join its Dubai office. Key responsibilities for this role include providing research support to the fee earners of the firm, generate current awareness information and support the internal knowledge management systems.

The incumbent must be able to take instructions and queries from fee earners including partners, associates, trainees and paralegals and analyse, interpret and define their enquiries and requirements and be able to estimate likely time costs for each research project.

Presentation in English must be precise and accurate using a clear structure based on templates and he/she must have the ability to identify solutions to legal queries based on research findings and legal knowledge of the region. Sources utilized will be library resources, newspapers and journals, official gazettes, legislation and judgement databases and government website.

Requirements

This role requires a law degree from an Arab University and some experience of practising law and preferably legal research in the UAE. Native Arabic skills are essential and a high level of speaking, reading and writing English. Good time management and analytical skills are essential.

This is initially a six month contract and sponsorship will be provided. However there is a strong possibility this role will become permanent.
