Management Accountant

Job description / Role

- Responsible for costing and controls to be implemented to ensure accurate information.
- Develops product costing techniques, institutes cost control measures, ensures timely and accurate labor, material and overhead updates, supervises special cost studies and periodically reviews allocation of overhead costs.
- Establishing and implementing inventory policies and procedures, responsible for year end and periodic stock reconciliations.
- Ensuring that proper records are kept and proper accounts are being charged for inventory transactions.
- Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances, manage corrective actions to be taken,ensuring improvement in internal controls related to inventory.
- Ensure accuracy of export documents and manage the process of exports, in so far processes and procedures with the banks are being followed.
- Prepare reports, review variances and recommend necessary change and controls in conjunction with sales, manufacturing and material management over individual usings.

Requirements

- University Degree in accounting with management accountancy as major.
- Costing Diploma advisable.
- 6 - 8 years experience of Management Accounting experience in the Manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of Accounting principles and manufacturing (MRP) online systems, good analytical skills.

Only candidates who has experience either in cost control or chief accountant with extensive experience in cost accounting will be considered for this role.
