Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The PR Manager role is responsible for enhancing The companies external and internal communications initiatives, to improve how we connect with our customers, the media, influencers and employees.

The individual will play a key role within the marketing and communications division, developing key English and Arabic language content, and implementing strategic PR programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness and ultimately driving increased footfall at retail locations.

Key Accountabilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing, PR & Communications, responsible for enhancing The companies public relations and influencer relations to help achieve business results
- Plan, develop and implement retail oriented PR strategies and programs for The company and its business verticals: Sports, Hospitality & Fashion
- Draft key content including press releases, key message documents, FAQs, etc.
- Collaborate with marketing, business verticals and spokespeople on messaging and storytelling
- Work with the PR agency to drive PR opportunities for The company including public speaking engagements, industry events, features placement, proactive media interviews, etc.
- Provide support and counsel on everything from brand positioning, storytelling, and thought leadership to news angles to corporate positioning and messaging
- Manage day-to-day activities of agency resources to produce desired outcomes
- Measure, monitor and report on media and influencer results
- Support as required content development for retail-store launches, marketing activations.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field
- 4-6 years relevant experience in public relations and communications
- Experienced content developer
- Real-world experience in planning, managing and executing high impact PR plans for a retail operator
- Knowledge of media strategy and planning options and the media role in integrated communications
- Ability to forge relationships with both Arabic and English media
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Arabic preferred
- Proven successes in both traditional and online PR channels
- Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
- A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to both manage AND execute programs
- Must be able to present portfolio of work, including writing samples as well as examples of where PR efforts have translated to increased footfall.
- Strong writing skills, previous experience as a content developer desired.
