Network and Desktop Support Engineer

Job description / Role

To provide superior end user Desktop support while maintaining the integrity of the existing corporate network.

Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain IT asset list
- Respond to support calls from users
- Provide end user Desktop support
- Provision new desktops/laptops and other peripheral devices for users
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, Software related issues on Desktops
- Train and orient staff on use of hardware and software.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding repair of systems under warranty
- Communicate and escalate user issues with IT teams for quick resolution
- Travel to other units for providing desktop support whenever required.
- Carry out other work related duties as per management instructions

Requirements

- University degree in IT, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based desktop and server operating systems and related software
- Basic network configuration and issue diagnosis skills
- Certifications: MCSA/MCSE, CCNA
