Due to their ongoing projects in the UAE we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team

Key role is to lead the furniture, fittings and equipment component of the project and ensure all key considerations are identified and integrated within the project plan.

Work collaboratively with consultants, project managers and designers to facilitate the procurement, management and commissioning of FF&E.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Responsible for coordinating the bid process, cost analysis, purchasing, and installation of all FF&E orders and maintaining strong work relationships with vendors, fellow team members, and other departments in order to complete the assigned projects on time and under budget.
- Coordinate and direct the bidding process with the project support team.
- Establish bid lists for specified commodities based on experience and manufacturing methods.
- Assist the Purchasing Manager in creating and managing a project budget.
- Reliable and familiar knowledge of the project status including budget, deliveries, and schedule.
- Attend various meetings for projects and departmental updates.
- Negotiate pricing and analyze bid packages to ensure the selected vendor is best suited for the order.
- Oversee and expedite orders placed by the project team to ensure the schedule and budget restraints are being followed.
- Update reports and manifests as requested by the Purchasing Manager.
- Effectively communicate information related to purchase orders to vendors and other members of the project team.
- Manage vendor submittals with Interiors and researches product efficiency.
- Execute tasks assigned by senior members of the project team in an efficient and timely manner.
- Inspect goods to maintain the high standards necessary for a 5 star property.
- Manage project installation by interfacing with construction management and contractors.
- Reconcile budgets and job cost.
- Manage project “close out” procedures.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, Architecture
- Hotel Management would be desirable however not essential
- Minimum of 3 years experience in managing fitout projects in the UAE or GCC countries
- Experience in leading and delivering 5-star luxury Hotel projects
- Exposure to large scale residential / villa projects is essential
- Strong interpersonal, communications, negotiating and leadership skills
- A team player, can coach and train when required
- Demonstrates expertise relevant to planning, purchasing and delivery of FF&E within a project management environment
- A proven track record in FF&E project management
- Excellent organizational skill, effective time management and logical decision-making ability
- Ability to handle multiple projects, capacity to handle and work under pressure
- High level of proficiency in the use of MS Office specially Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD and other software relevant to procurement and management
- Excellent project knowledge: manufacturing, joinery, furniture, lighting, fabrics, etc.
- Understanding of the hotel industry and purchasing
