Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise on contractual matters.
- Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
- Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
- Check and record measure of work done.
- Prepare variations and day-works.
- Monitor contracts final cost estimate.
- Maintain expenditure records.
- Review, negotiate and prepare claim settlements with the Departments.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
- Prepare Final Accounts with all supporting documentation.
- Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
- Liaise with Department in all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of all contracts.

Requirements

- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering from a recognized University.
- Minimum 11 years work experience in QS, 6 years of which is in the UAE involving infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of FIDIC and CESMM.
- Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
