Regional Purchasing Manager IMEA - Contract Manufacturing & Traded Goods

Job description / Role

- Delivering bottom line/ top line results according to yearly/ long term planning and predefined targets
- Developing mid and long term strategies to best leverage the regional / global supply base to deliver best in class sourcing solutions and link high performing suppliers to the business needs of the Business Unit, and therefore meeting the competitive goals of Henkel
- Ensuring early involvement in all regional projects of (re)launch / restructuring/ make-or-buy with full alignment with other functions (Supply Chain, R&D…etc) related to his/her area.
- Gaining and documenting sustainable total value chain, industry insight/ knowledge and best practices of the categories in scope
- Conducting periodical risk assessment (incl. sustainability) as well as designing and managing adequate countermeasures
- Identifying necessary cross-functional resources, leading the team/projects to achieve superior measurable sustainable results
- Guaranteeing full delegation of back office jobs to SSC (Shared Service Center) and develop best practices for e-sourcing with sustainable results
- Accountable for periodical progress measurement, accuracy of information and data, in-time delivery, audit conform documentation of all sourcing activities according to purchasing standards

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Engineering. Masters Degree is an advantage.
- 3-5 years experience in direct materials purchasing preferably contract manufacturing
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge in supplier base, general industry information, cost drivers as well as best purchasing practices.
- Knowledge in contract law; as it applies to the procurement process and supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and convincing skills and capacity for analysis.
- Experience in MS Office, SAP BW and PURIS is an advantage.
