Relationship Manager - Financial Restructuring & Remedial (UAE National)

A leading organization from the banking sector based in UAE is looking to an experienced Relationship Manager to join their dynamic team of professionals within the Central Risk department. The desired candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in the banking industry in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have 3 years of strong exposure to financial restructuring, remedial account management, remedial exposure, and recoveries on delinquent accounts and remedial action required within a corporate banking environment. The candidate must also have adequate knowledge of financial analysis, cash flow projection and debt restructuring. UAE Nationals are first priority for this role.

The responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Directly working with the AVPNP FRR in proactively managing all wholesale banking non­ performing loans and work with clients where credit quality has deteriorated to WATCHLIST (Risk Grade 4), in order to avoid the bank from facing impairment and to ensure maximum recovery of both the capital and interest.
- Undertaking negotiations with clients, banks and external legal counsel to developing recommendations to restructure facilities to improve the WB NPL ratio through identification and implementation of solutions to achieve the highest recovery rates.
- Under the guidance of the Associate Vice President/ Vice President Financial Restructuring and Remedial (AVPNP FRR), develop recommendations/proposals to Coordinating/Steering Committees of Creditors, Board Credit and Investment Committee (BCIC), Management Credit and Investment Committee (MCIC) and providing input on provisions for proposed Non - Performing Portfolio. Execute recommendations following approvals/decisions.
- Solutioning of non-performing assets and problem loans by defining personalized strategies and actions plans to ensure value maximization and recovery.
- Primary contact for WB impaired assets, working pro-actively to manage exposures and mitigate loss.
- Recovering of bank assets and propose any remedial action that may be required, including legal.
- Support in the managing of the Financial Restructuring and Remedial team in following up on all non-performing loans in order to maximize recovery.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Economics or related banking studies.
- Masters degree will be an advantage.
- Certification on Financial restructuring will be advantageous as well.
- Minimum 8 years banking experience.
- At least 3 years of strong exposure to financial restructuring, remedial account management, remedial exposure, and recoveries on delinquent accounts and remedial action required within a corporate banking environment.
- Sufficient working knowledge in financial analysis, cash flow projection and debt restructuring.
- Knowledge of local legal requirements and laws, financial restructuring strategy and operations and wholesale banking.
- The candidate must be driven to achieve goals and give productive results.
- The candidate must focus on the client’s needs as well as the team’s needs.
