Resident Engineer

Job description / Role

Our client client, an Architectural & Engineering Consultancy based in Dubai is seeking a Resident Engineer.

Act as Engineers Representative.
- Coordinate with Client and Contractor.
- Liaise with other Authorities.
- Advise on contractual and construction matters.
- Coordinate forward planning.
- Generally supervise, review, monitor and report on progress.
- Convene and chair regular site meetings.
- Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
- Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Issue site instructions after due consultation with the Client.
- Give final approval to Works and arrange Handover.
- Supervise Contractors works to achieve construction in accordance with the Contract Documents.
- Review Contractors Submissions.
- Provide all necessary on-site direction.
- Supervise site inspection staff.
- Review and manage the process of Variations and Claims
- Check the measurement of completed works.
- Observe site safety practices.
- Advise on contractors resource allocation.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of as-built drawings.
- Must comply with safety, health and risk management requirements.

Requirements

Salary is between 25-30,000 AED with a background in Civil Engineering with 10-15 years of experience, latest experience has to be as resident engineer on high rise buildings. Preferably hotel or hotel apartments.
