Job description / Role
Our client, a dynamic international provider of logistics services, has an immediate opening for a Sales Manager.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Building a sales department for the company
- Learning the products and services of the firm
- Inheriting the firm's existing 'book of business' and introducing yourself to existing clients
- Integrating your own 'book of business' into the company's (if you are bringing your own clients)
- Identifying and qualifying new clients across numerous markets
- Performing 'consultative selling' through having an extensive understanding of each client and comprehensive knowledge of the firm's capabilities
- Keeping in near daily contact with your customers and contract carriers - regardless of size - in order to accommodate each client's needs for truckload and inter-modal services
- Solving problems as needed
Requirements
- At least three years of proven, successful inside/outside sales experience
- At least two years of sales experience within 3rd Party Logistics (3PL)
- UAE experience is an advantage
- A track record and market intelligence
Our client would prefer to see candidates who already possess a book of business; however, this is not a strict requirement for applying.
Additionally, 3PL logistics experience is a MUST.
In addition to a generous base salary, you will receive a generous commission structure and an expense allowance.
