Senior Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis - UAE National

Job description / Role

- Sets up and maintains policies, systems, excel models, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and related functions in conjunction with related companies
- Develops and administer Business Planning and Controlling (BPC) system to ensure accuracy of collection of data and reporting
- Updates financial models for stakeholders’ requirements, as and when required
- Monitors cost centre and profit centre hierarchy to ensure meeting business requirements
- Prepares and presents the budgeting process to ensure accuracy of methodology, projections and calculations generated from the departments
- Consolidates and presents plant’s annual plans and budgets produced by departments for management review and provides detailed analysis to support effective decision making
- Provides evaluation of business requirements and ensures the preparation and consolidation of the plant’s budget in-line with business plans, with the support of the manager
- Monitors expenditure and advices all internal departments to facilitate areas to achieve financial performance over the budgeted figure
- Coordinates with all departments within the area to create awareness of financial plans and business performance across all levels to achieve budgetary compliance
- Prepares and presents the financial performance versus budgets for areas to identify unsatisfactory performance and rectify it promptly
- Prepares detailed financial plan and financial forecasts for the plant in line with the corporate financial strategy and the overall objectives of the plant
- Prepares quarterly forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheets & Cash flow) in liaison with business heads to facilitate effective financial planning in line with the plant’s business plan
- Prepares area financial performance reports to monitor and facilitate effective decision making
- Prepares and presents key performance results to ensure the overall profitability of the month and investigates major variances
- Analyses, interprets and communicates the financial information and prepares management reports to reflect the overall performance of the plant

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CMA or equivalent).
- 3-5 years’ experience in financial planning and forecasting, in a large manufacturing environment
- Experience in interacting with external auditors and representatives of national/international financial institutions
- Knowledge of the aluminum manufacturing sector and EGA’s products and business strategies
- Knowledge of statutory and internal financial management standards
- Knowledge of financial policies and procedures
- Financial analysis and budget planning and development skills
- Effective communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Data mining, analysis and excellent reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP
