Senior Business Analyst Credit Risk

Job description / Role

A leading bank in the UAE are growing their Group Credit function with the addition of a Senior Business Analyst tasked with providing subject matter expertise on risk implementation projects. The successful Senior Business Analyst will also be responsible for leading a major work stream which will provide a lot of exposure across the bank.

The role will primarily involve the Implementation of new credit workflow and exposure aggregation systems. As a Senior Business Analyst the duties will include gathering and documenting business requirements, testing of the system, assisting other teams with regard to data migration, working alongside IT teams on data integration, development of reports and training of end users.

Other key responsibilities:
- Lead a work stream within a project
- Provide thought leadership and advise on the best practices on credit workflows, risk aggregation and reporting
- Provide solutions to design and process challenges encountered during implementation
- Development of process flow maps that would be used in configuration of the system
- Explain to the technical users, business requirements in detail to ensure common understanding and implementation
- Gather reporting requirements and co-ordinate with IT for development of the same
- Preparation of presentation to Project Board, senior management to highlight risks and issues in the project

Requirements

- Extensive, relevant Business Analysis experience with a deep understanding of the project lifecycle, as well as Project Implementation experience
- Experience in handling credit risk systems and process transformation projects within the banking domain
- Banking book knowledge and risk implementation experience
- Any knowledge of back office processes an added advantage
- Knowledge of MS-Access, Visio & SQL preferred
- Excellent communication skills and candidates should consider themselves an innovative team player
