Job description / Role
If successful you will be working with a global group who are rapidly becoming the market leader in their industry. The role based in Dubai is a 12 month “rolling” contract.
Hadoop development work enabling enhancements to the Hadoop data load process and also offer enhanced data offerings to the downstream BI and Analytics applications.
Design and develop big data applications for implementing predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms, with the goal of discovering valuable insights from available data
Architect and implement ETL solutions that effectively manage today's data deluge; Understand available data, including both in structured and unstructured formats, and recommend effective ways for storage and analytical processing
Collaborate with data stewards, statistical modelers, DBAs and business to understand data domain and design effective solutions
Lead design and implementation of vendor/contractor provided solutions; This includes system requirements, design reviews, code reviews and solution verification
Requirements
Have over all 5 years of IT experience.
Should have 2+ years of working experience in the Apache Hadoop framework, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, PIG, Python, Flume, Sqoop and Oozie.
Full working knowledge of SQL Ability to identify and translate use cases into Hadoop.
Capability to design and document solutions independently.
Passion for technology and ability to adapt to new environment. Cloudera Manager and Cloudera Navigator, HUE, Shell
Scripting Spark, Solr, Mahout, Python, Java, NoSQL (Cassandra, Mongo DB, etc.,), UML and Enterprise Architect.
Technical Leading Skill.
