Senior Director Information Technology

Our client is looking to recruit a technology leader in order to continue their growth and improve their customer contact to created a focus around better use of technology.

In conjunction with the 3-5 year plan, this leader needs to be able to assess with open eyes the current technology situation and quickly understand how it might change and improve.

They need to possess a desire to succeed but be mindful of the impact the change will have on the business and the long standing family and staff members. Business efficiencies and improved processes are the initial priority but the longer term vision may be more creative and innovative around customer engagement.

Role functions will include:
- Overseeing the key IT activities related to IT strategy, IT governance and management, IT operations, Information Security for the Group.
- Serves as a member of executive leadership team as well as on all relevant planning and policy making committees.
- Sets the mission, vision, objectives and KPIs for the overall IT Department in line with the Group’s business plans and strategic objectives.
- Defines and maintains the optimal organisational structure for the IT function so that resources are optimally utilized and communications can take place in a smooth and efficient manner.
- Leads IT strategic and operational planning activities to achieve the Company’s goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
- Provides guidance, support and leadership to employees in order to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure that all employees recognize their fundamental roles to achieve the Group’s overall organizational objectives.

Requirements

- University degree in Computer Science.
- MBA or tertiary functionally-related qualification preferred.
- Relevant certifications: MCSE, CNE, CISCO, ITIL, PMP is a plus.
- 10-15 years’ broad IT experience within a large organization; with experience in setting up and managing major ERP Solution (Oracle, SAP) and other point of sales, retail driven business intelligence software and tools.
- 5-10 years’ Management/Leadership experience within an IT environment; with experience of managing major IT installation or expansion projects.
- Broad range of IT experience to cover exposure to IT infrastructure, IT planning, communications and IT operations.
