Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is responsible for the management of all indirect spend categories across the Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Properties Shopping Malls Business unit. The role is based in Dubai; however it encompasses functional responsibility and direct reports in Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon and Egypt as well as the UAE.

The role requires an advanced understanding of procurement strategy, process and transformation and the role-holder will be required to implement the procurement strategy in line with overall company requirements.

The role holder will have a demonstrable track record in leading a high performing procurement function in a multinational environment and have extensive experience in devising and implementing procurement policy, process, compliance and best practice as well as capacity building. In addition the role will require a high degree of interpersonal and influencing skills aligned with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the Procurement function across the MAF Shopping Malls Business Unit
- Line management of the procurement team across the territories
- Devising and Implementing sourcing strategies to maximize efficiency and spend
- Maintaining compliance and governance across the entire P2P cycle
- Implementing leading procurement practice across the organisation
- Leading the Supply Chain and Supplier relationship management requirements across the organisation
- Developing and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships

Requirements

- 10 years experience in a procurement leadership role
- Experience in implementing and/or transforming a procurement function in multiple territories
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Advanced knowledge of local and international contract terms, compliance and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of finance and legal aspects of procurement
- Bachelors degree
- Professional procurement qualification (i.e. MCIPS) from a recognised institution
- Strong business acumen
- Advanced knowledge and experience of e-procurement/e-sourcing systems
- Advanced knowledge and experience of ERP systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP)
- Highly developed presentation skills
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of mentoring and developing procurement professionals

Desired Skills:
- Experience of all the above in the UAE and/or GCC
- Experience of direct procurement categories (i.e. Construction)
- Masters degree or MBA
- Advanced professional procurement qualification (i.e. Chartered Procurement Professional)
