Senior Officer – Events (UAE Nationals)

Job Purpose :

- Manage and coordinate the Event Plan to ensure that EGA’s reputation is positively communicated and maintained with its stakeholders, and is at all times transparent and efficient, as per EGA business strategy.

- Accountable to have a full year Event program with clear targets to be achieved with defined KPIs and monitoring systems to ensure the Events goals and objectives are met and improvements are made as necessary.

- Planning, budget and setting up a publicity campaign for all events (exhibitions, conferences, internal and external events within in the industry

- Developing productive working relationships with colleagues, partner and vendors

- Planning and organizing events and events set-ups in line with the company’s corporate and brand image

Key Accountabilities:

- Manage and coordinate the Event Plan implementation of all projects to ensure they are on strategy, on brand and all deliverables are provided within agreed timing schedules and budget

- Deliver a professional, reliable, cost effective and complete event management service for the business from concept through to final delivery

- Research markets to identify opportunities for potential events

- Support Event strategy to positively position the business within regional and international tradeshows, exhibitions and conferences

- Meeting with clients to propose effective event solutions to meet their objectives and ongoing strategic marketing plan

- Liaising with departments to ascertain their precise event requirements

- Supporting the Corporate Affairs & PR teams to achieve Events targets and activities are met

- Manage the exhibition /conference stand build-up coherence with the EGA brand guidelines

- Liaise with the team member for all gifts required for all events

- Securing and booking a suitable venue or location

- Accountable for writing all tenders for all Events and managing the approved budget

- Sound commercial understanding of how to deliver projects within budget in line with agreed service levels

- Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)

- Manage to ensure all work is delivered in line with the Events Agency Service Level Agreement

- Take a creative approach to ensure marketing communications is impactful and supports business objectives

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Events or Public Relations or equivalent

Minimum experience:

- 3-5 years of experience in similar capacity

Job specific skills:

- Excellent understanding of corporate communication requirements

- Eloquent speaking ability

- Excellent understanding of the planning, execution and feedback process involved in successful event management

- Strong communication and interrelationship skills

- Awareness of the creative and design process in creating supporting campaign material for events

- Ability to travel for business purposes

Generic skills:

- Fluent and literate in Arabic and English

- Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)

- Excellent communication skills, attention to details, good analytical skills, team skills
