Are you an PR professional based in the Middle East with experience working for FMCG or luxury retail brands who is looking for a new challenge?

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dynamic senior PR executive to be responsible for launching and developing our new own concept department store in Dubai!

As a Senior PR Executive you will be responsible for all consumer media relations for the launch and ongoing development of our new concept, new brand store. This will include the relationship management with the media, developing the PR strategy and delivery plan, implementing activity and measuring results to demonstrate a positive return on investment. As a new concept, the role demands both a strategic and hands on approach with attention to detail while remaining mindful of the big strategic goals.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Consumer PR
- Support the head of Marketing with the delivery of e marketing strategy and plan using relevant and planned PR campaigns
- Act as key contact point with the media
- Handle publicity that includes product/channel launches, facilitating feature stories, media replies and arranging for content and photography to be supplied
- Implement brand's public relations strategies and respond to all media-related inquiries for the new brand
- Develop and implement a PR events programme to support the delivery of marketing and business objectives
- Develop and implement a social media PR programme to optimise all relevant and appropriate media channels
- Manage the content required for PR including samples, photography, copy and video assets
- Ensure all PR activity is directly aligned to the product offer and the overarching brand proposition
- Develop relationships with brand ambassadors, manage their involvement and recognise and reward in line with the marketing strategy
- Develop a crisis management plan and lead the communication to internal teams
- Develop the relationship with key blogger community both locally and regionally. Ensure they are provided with content and messaging at the right time
- Manage the appointment and daily delivery of the PR agency
- Build a PR database of all relevant local, regional and international media
- Develop strategic partnerships with relevant brands, organisations, and individuals to support the marketing objectives

PR strategies
- Plan, implement, develop and execute successful PR strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in the development and implementation of PR, marketing and branding campaigns.
- Build and maintain a permanent relationship with the press and the clients.
- Build media collateral, Research, develop, write and distribute press releases and 'sell in' stories to key target media channels, execute campaign measurement and evaluation.
- Create, develop (or adapt), put together the press kits and ensures they are dispatched as expected and on time.
- Analyze creative needs, suggest ideas and Coordinate with the creative teams for all related tasks.
- Create and make presentations to the media.
- Manage the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation.
- Create press materials including news releases, toolkits, and media advisories.
- Manage campaign databases and assist in the roll-out of the campaigns.
- Attend meetings, organize events and pitch stories to press and coordinate the communications activity.
- Ensure that campaigns run to agreed client budgets.
- Seek opportunities for free publicity.
- Create, implement user surveys and conduct market and public opinion research to provide studies/insight for press releases.
- Spearhead PR meetings to ensure smooth communication flow.
- Coordinate ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations, and other public relations activities.
- Work in close coordination with the journalists to ensure all possible media leads are generated and maximised.
- Prepare monthly media coverage report, monitor and analyze industry news.
- Prepare daily press summary of print and digital media for marketing team and GM.

Requirements

- Degree or certification in media, journalism, PR or related field
- Previous Experience
- 3 to 4 years of local and regional media exposure is required
- Experience in Consumer PR, ideally within fashion, lifestyle or FMCG fields

Linguistic Skills
- English: Excellent written and spoken required
- French: preferable but not necessary
- Arabic: Required
