Senior Technical Engineer

Job description / Role

If successful you will be working with a global group who are rapidly becoming the market leader in their industry. The role based in Dubai is a 12 month "rolling" contract.

Design & Support IT solutions for the Group. Working as part of a design & support team, the Senior Technical Engineer will design, develop, support and deliver robust and cost effective solutions for both Business and IT led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, configuration and deployment & Business Case development & approval.

To support, contribute and ensure solution compliance to the architecture, production processes, and other IT standards. To support, contribute and ensure development of the roadmap of the concerned technology roadmap aligning with IT strategy

Requirements

- 8+ years experience within a business IT environment
- Strong hands on practical knowledge and experience of automation; Cucumber-JVM, JBehave, using Selenium (GRID, RC, Webdriver), soapUI
- Strong practical knowledge and experience in test automation design and framework setup
- Should have strong programming skills ideally using Java using Ant or Maven
- Strong knowledge of any one of the scripting languages such as Ruby, Python or Perl
- Strong practical knowledge and experience in automation framework tools; JUnit, TestNG
- Strong knowledge and experience in setting up of continuous integration; Jenkins, Bamboo, Teamcity
- Strong practical knowledge and experience of QA in Continuous Delivery/Deployment
- Strong practical knowledge and experience of methodologies; Agile (BDD, ATDD, FDD ,TDD)
- Strong practical knowledge and experience in Risk based testing
- Practical knowledge and experience of defect management; JIRA
