Employment: Full Time

Our Client a leading retail group currently going through huge expansion are looking for a Strategy Director for their business.

Scope:
- A flexible working approach required to meet the needs of the business
- Mainly office based
- Frequent telephone and computer use with associated office hazards
- Some travel may be required

Reporting to the CEO, the Strategy Director will serve as key member management team and will be responsible for assisting in defining strategic vision and strategic planning, working with various teams to execute on long range strategic plans.

Context:
- The Director shapes the strategic direction of the company, with a strong focus on driving profitable growth and serves as advisors to company leaders and addresses the key questions facing senior management, the board, and the companys business units.
- Is responsible for shaping the companys strategic plans, anticipating opportunities and threats, and prioritizing strategic initiatives and investments.
- Will conduct projects to drive the companies overall business strategy.
- The role of Corporate Strategy is to structure the project and provide problem-solving leadership, conduct analysis and research, develop recommendations, and in conjunction with your internal partner stakeholders, communicate well-articulated conclusions to Senior Management.
- Will have the opportunity for significant exposure to the companies executive team and broad exposure to our business dynamics.

Will be expected to lead complex projects, doing so will require:
- Distinctive strategic problem solving and quantitative analysis skills, including experience in structuring high level strategic issues into concrete analyses with actionable conclusions,
- The ability to develop strong working relationships with other business functions quickly and
- The skills and experience to influence senior management decision makers.
- 3+ years of experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or corporate strategy group, with 1-3 years as an engagement/project manager.
- A record of success and top-tier achievement in prior education and work experiences, including distinctive strategic problem solving and quantitative analysis capabilities.
- The ability to structure and manage complex strategic projects.
- M&A analysis: Including, market canvas for targets, comparative analysis and strategic rational
- Strong analytical skills; a blend of corporate and consulting experience a plus
- Ability to diagnose strategic, operational and financial drivers of performance results
- Ability to see the big picture and apply a strategic perspective
- Ability to structure work and effectively lead a matrix team to a common goal
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to implement change
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to implement change
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Strong financial analysis background
- Knowledge of media and entertainment field or related industries is important.
- Have a strong analytical background and have excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

- 8 - 10 years of combined industry and/or consulting experience
- Distinctive career history problem solving and logic-based issue resolution
- A technical, economics or business undergraduate degree and an MBA, or relevant post-graduate degree in business or an economics related discipline from a highly recognised University
