Team Leader - Design

Job description / Role

Our client, who specializes in Manufacturing Glass products is recruiting for a Team Leader

Duties and Responsibilities
- 5 years experience managing deigning teams in curtain walls installations and glazing systems
- Involvement in the planning, design, management, supervision & execution of the projects.
- Coordination of Designing Team. Define Team Work Breakdown Structure. Help Designers/Draughtmen to solve problems and design conflicts.
- Keep documentation organized and according to Project Management Structure.
- Monitor and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with schedule, quality and safety of completion of works.
- Assume responsibility for direct communication with the client during the project implementation and to final delivery.
- The candidate has to be decisive and proactive. Experienced in handling technical documentation and shop drawings.
- Costs Control monitored.
- Delivery time updated monitored.
- Creation of Risk Analysis and Contingency Plans.
- Ensure and help in the execution of Project Plan.
- Control of Project Invoices/Payments.
- Coordination with Site Engineers.
- Plan weekly teamwork.
- Monitor weekly teamwork.
- Evaluate weekly teamwork performance.
- Report Project Manager, especially about Project Certifications.
- Coordination with Procurement Manager.
- Attend weekly project meetings and report accordingly.
- Attend Kick off / Technical Meetings at customers sites and achieve an agreement in terms of deliveries plan.
- Achieve Project Certifications agreed with customers, to claim for Payments.
- Technical Meetings with suppliers and Negotiation with suppliers.
- Apply for Purchase Orders as per Internal Procedure.

The package is a Monthly Basic of 9000 AED, Plus Housing Allowance (around 3500 AED), plus a Car, Plus 2 flights, plus medical insurance. Plus Monthly Bonus.

Requirements

- Expert level in: Autocad 2D/3D, Rivet, Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills in English. Management Skills and experience of leading a team
- Availability for travelling.
- Driving licence
