Kee Safety Middle East & India - Technical Support Engineer and Auto Cad draughtsman

REPORTING TO:
General Manager – Rohit Norbury
Kee safety Middle East are continuing to build a strong business in the Middle East region and require a high level of technical support for the Sales Team and Customers / Consultants in relation to the Systems and Solutions that the Company provides to “Separate People from Hazards”. The role of Technical Support Engineer and Auto Cad draughtsman is key to the continuing success of Kee Safety in the Middle East Region.
DUTIES:
- AutoCAD drafting for customer proposals and for project shop drawings
- Maintain a library of AutoCAD elements for Kee Safety products to allow quick draughting
- Maintain a library of standard example drawings for all products to be included in proposals
- Gain a full technical understanding of the Kee Safety fall protection products
- Putting together Bills of Materials to meet customer requirements which are in line with the relevant standards and are also commercially competitive
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all the relevant standards to be able to advise customers and staff on how they should be met.
- Advising customers and sales team on the best approach to a requirement
- Attend site meetings to survey roofs and to give technical advice to customer
- Provide advice regarding installation methods and best practice for different roof types
- Understand any local regulations that may have an effect on installation and system requirements
- Compilation of method statements and risk assessments for project installations
- Support installation on site when needed
- Liaise with the Group technical Team regarding new product development and training
- Maintain sufficient all round knowledge to be a technical resource in the Middle East and India region.
- Provide technical product training to the Regional Sales staff and customers / distributors
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a mechanical / construction engineering field
- Highly proficient in using AutoCAD draughting software and other applicable software
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a mechanical / construction engineering role
- A background in Safety and Fall Protection would be an advantage although not essential
- Experienced in general Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Driving license
- Ability to obtain a UAE residents visa

- Strong communicator with good written & verbal skills
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines & achieve targets
- Team player but also capable of working on own initiative
- Previous demonstrable experience in supporting internal and external customers is essential
- Should be equally comfortable when working in the office as when on a roof advising a customer.
