Technical Sales Support Engineer

Job description / Role

- Learn and develop proficiency in the Clients range of units.
- Learn all selection modes for the Clients Product Calculator (GPC).
- Learn and develop proficiency for the coil calculator on product version and understand which units are special and how to modify standard units.
- Become an integrated part of the network of different departments with Headquarters.
- Learn to make selections in ERP and thereby make opportunities/ quotations and learn to read ERP for all information.
- Travel to priority customers periodically in collaboration with Sales staff to train them in GPC, basic engineering and other skill sets. Also has to be ready to travel at a moment’s notice for site visit in case of any damage or shut down of our equipment. Travel also includes taking customers for factory visits.
- Support the order placement with the order management team in terms of technical clarification of designs.
- Provide off the record technical consultancy for the customers/end users in terms of cooler installation and design.
- Arrange basic marketing for French speaking customers (monthly mailing action should be made in French)
- Help organize exhibition equipment for the North African French-Arabic market.
- Be a vital link between customer and factory for all aspects of technical design and order.
- Follow up existing open quotations for big projects.
- Prepare submittals for major projects to the tune of compliance lists, technical literature, reference projects and other details.
- Adhere to office administration with regards to proper documentation of quotes, orders, claims and personnel administration.
- Most importantly, be part of the team and contribute as a team player in all aspects of the company’s operation.

Requirements

The Candidate must be a French speaker. The main role of the Technical Sales Support Engineer will be to offer technical support for the sales staff. The on field sales staff will receive inquiries which have to be designed and quoted efficiently and quickly to ensue project obtainability.

- Proficient knowledge of French. Generic and Technical.
- Knowledge of Thermodynamics and heat transfer.
- Basic idea of different types of heat exchangers (fan coil type knowledge will be an added advantage).
- Understanding of ERP systems (basic).
- Experience in the Refrigeration Sector (Commercial and Industry Refrigeration)
