Western Logistics Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading distribution business here in the Middle East, is looking for a professional western Logistics Manager to join their business here in Dubai.

Reporting to the CEO of the business the Logistics Manager will be fully responsible for the end to end logistics procedure.

The successful candidate MUST know JAFZA rules and regulations.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
- Drive warehouse KPIs for staff.
- Manage the 3PL network for the business.
- Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
- Train warehouse and logistics department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.

Requirements

- Knowledge of JAFZA rules and regulations is essential.
- Western candidate preferred.
- 5-7 years' experience.
- Previous experience at a managerial level.
- University level qualified.
