Make It Matter. <br><br>In this role, you will oversee all communications and public and government affairs activities for a specific geography or business unit. You are a business adviser who manages across internal and/or external advocacy and media relations, crisis and issues communications using integrated communications to promote and protect Mondelez's International reputation.<br><br>How you will contribute <br><br>You will drive the communications and government affairs agenda for the area in which you operate for all internal and external communications including media relations, stakeholder and political engagement, and partner with business unit leaders to support internal and external communications and corporate affairs. In addition, you may be responsible for public affairs advocacy, government relations and issues management, by promoting leadership categories through effective external media engagement (including social media management), risk and issues management, best practice engagement systems and empowerment of team members. You will develop and implement government affairs and/or communication plans to enable the company to meet business objectives and to level the playing field in the industry, implement a local community engagement strategy aligned to global Mondelez International philanthropic efforts, and ensure activities are delivered within budget.<br><br>What you will bring <br><br>A desire to lead the future for our company and accelerate you career with experience and knowledge in:<br><br>- Holding a similar position in a fast-moving consumer goods environment in communications, government or corporate affairs<br> - Working confidently with the most senior stakeholders in a company<br> - Working easily and confidently with senior external media and stakeholders, some of which may be challenging relationships<br> - Writing and communications skills<br> - Taking lone or controversial positions on key issues in the company to drive effective decision making<br><br>More about this role <br><br>Member of Mondelez Egypt Leadership team reporting directly to Corporate & Government Affairs Director for Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan (MENAP) Business Unit, dotted line to the Managing Director of Egypt.<br><br>What you need to know about this position: <br><br>- Plan and conduct media relations activities including interactions with general interest, financial and trade media outlets<br> - Serve as media spokesperson.<br> - Create communications materials to support media activities (press releases, media dossiers, videos)<br> - Lead Mondelez relationships with local governments, stakeholders and trade associations to influence policy making, ensure business continuity, minimize risks and facilitate growth in Mashreq.<br> - Shape government policies and measures to reflect MDLZ's interests and amplify its reputation as a purpose-led company by building relationships, engaging, and partnering with policy makers (government officials, international organizations), external stakeholders (non-governmental organizations, industry groups, academic influencers, and industry players); and internal stakeholders (MDLZ business leaders and other functions).<br> - Drive sustainable, consumer-centric growth by mitigating risk, and realizing opportunities, engendered by government policies and measures that affect MDLZ's operations and reputation.<br> - Lead Mondelez's external communications agenda to leverage Mondelez's iconic brands and corporate reputation as well as promoting the company's growth agenda, leadership in snacking and well-being and contribution to local economy.<br> - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to regularly identify and prioritize business needs in terms of awareness campaigns, employer branding, and support to the overall country agenda.<br> - Lead the company's corporate social responsibility mega projects to support local communities in meaningful ways.<br> - Lead the community engagement strategy and execution to increase employee engagement and build pride.<br> - Identify and ensure that the right partners are selected as per Mondelez donation policy<br> - Member of MDLZ Egypt special situations team.<br> - Lead the planning and execution of communications in special situations to minimize the negative effects on business and manage reputation.<br><br>Education / Certifications: <br><br>- Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Business, International Relations, or Political Science.<br><br>Job specific requirements: <br><br>- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience<br> - Experience in FMCG, crisis management, sustainability, regulated sectors will be considered as an asset<br> - Excellent level of English and Arabic<br> - Strong communication, influencing and executive presence skills<br> - Media and crisis communications trained<br> - Strong ability to build collaborative relationships and networks internally and externally<br> - Working in an international environment<br> - Priority setting, planning, creativity and leadership skills<br><br>Work schedule: Full time <br><br>No Relocation support available<br><br> Business Unit Summary <br><br> Mondelez International in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan serves the Middle East and Africa markets as well as Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.
