Country Operations Head

Job description / Role

Client is one of the largest Banks in the Middle East.

The candidate should have an excellent understanding of Banking Operations. Client is looking to recruit a Country Operations Head.

The incumbent will have the overall responsibility for Banking Operations.

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities are:
- Prepare operations plan and set budget according to functions requirements align with Operations - HO master plan.
- Monitor staff adherence to policies & procedures and operational risk framework.
- Monitor operations control reports with regards to transactions quality performed by LOB staff at the branch level.
- Provide Operations staff with consultancy advice & support needed to solve operational issues.
- Participate in setting Business Continuity plan along with Global Risk function

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
- Masters or MBA would be advantageous or any financial related
- Min of 15 years’ experience in a leading Regional/ International Bank
- Min of 10 years’ experience in a managerial position
- Exposure to different bank functions
- Strong leadership qualities
- Good communication skills - Arabic speaking

Desirable requirements:
- GCC experience
