Learning and Development Specialist - Retail Divisional Office - Cairo,Egypt

Purpose: To lead and support learning programmes and development strategies for the business through effective coordination with the Regional brand Learning & Development Managers and HR Business Partners. Focus on the development and maintenance of the training plan and individual development plans to secure excellence in business competency. In addition, design, develop and deliver training material and programs to retail teams in order to develop product knowledge and skills to achieve commercial objectives and relevant customer satisfaction scores.

Key Accountabilities:
- Support Line Managers in executing development training for identified succession candidates.
- Have a strategic eye for talent planning and communication with suggestions for the line managers in terms of succession planImplement post-course assessment and action plans for the candidates following the in house trainings courses to measure the productivity of the time spent in trainings
- Lead the learning and development process in the business by working in a proactive way.
- Responsible for maintaining the employees knowledge on current training initiatives and trends via external networking (brand-specific) and the Al-Futtaim Learning Centre.
- Work with the brand regional L&D managers to support the AFLC curriculum of courses.
- Collect training requirements specific to each brand to drive commercial targets and customer satisfaction scores in line with commercial calendar in coordination with Operations Team.
- Develop training material and program that is easy to implement in stores.
- Pilot any material and program before wider implementation, rectifies the final format and gets approval from Operations Management before implementation.
- Prepare budgetary requirements for the programs developed.
- Plans delivery and execution of training programs with Operations Team.
- Compile in-store training hours, and ensure training records are updated and available.
- Develop relations with the brand's international training resources to leverage existing material and programs.
- Develop relations with prominent local training providers to leverage existing material and programs.
- Act as an ambassador for Al Futtaim and represent all brands in line with define brand /corporate values.
- Feedback to managers on their effectiveness of delivering training and improving performance
- The JH is responsible for maintaining all administrative records relating to employee trainings (Training Matrix) and will control all administration related to training for the business line.
- Coordinate with the AFTC enrolment of the retail staff for trainings
- Maintain a good communication with the employees through numerous communication channels. Responsible for development of the staff ensuring that all are adequately competent and motivated.
- Support the managers with the performance management, contribute to develop performance improvement plans for the poor performers
- Get involved in the employee engagement survey and act as a champion in improving the results related to Training and Development and motivation of the staff.The JH is responsible for facilitating all orientation programmes for new hires and HR specific updates.
- Esnure that candidates are inducted within their first three months using the Basic Job Knowledge and successfully complete their probation
- Train, develop, coach and mentor all employees.
- Create and coordinate Induction plans for the new managers starting in the business
- Be the champion for technical and behavioural skills development

Requirements

- Human Resource , Psychology or Business Management Degree
- Train The Trainer Qualification.
- Program Development Qualification
- L&D Module - CIPD qualification desirable
- Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years L&D management experience, retail preferred
- Must have strong mediation and counselling skills
- Must have strategic, analytical and tactical abilities
- Must have strong project management & change management skills and be able to communicate effectively
- Must be computer literate
- Teamwork
