Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking to recruit a Patent Administrator to be based in Egypt (Cairo) or Jordan (Amman) for our Intellectual Property Department.

The Role:

• Managing administrative tasks related to patents, industrial designs and plant varieties including: advising and following up with clients with respect to formality documents related to patent applications, processing local legalization and submission of formality documents to to the patent office, docketing data related to reminders and deadlines relate to patent tasks in a patent docketing system, sending reminders to team members, paying official fees related to patents, processing invoices;
• Conducting/reviewing English-Arabic translation of technical patent documents including specifications and claims of patent applications;
• Conducting patent searches

• Line manager: Partner & Head of Patent and Designs
• Patent offices
• External clients
• Patent regional tea

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering or Sciences;
• Background in engineering or life sciences;
• 2+ years of experience either in patent filing and prosecution in law firm or in examination of patent applications at a patent office; experience in patent translation will also be considered;
• Regional experience
• Excellent written and communication skills both in Arabic and English;
• Degree in law or diploma in intellecutal property is a plus
