A rare opportunity to join a take on full site responsibility within one of Egypt's largest dairy companies.

This is an amazing opportunity to join a major Middle East dairy and juice business as a Plant Manager, based near Cairo. This role would suit an experienced Production/Operations professional with European experience who is looking to get an international appointment.

The Plant Manager is responsible for the entirety of one of the six dairy and juice plants owned by this business. This will cover areas such as production, maintenance, technical, engineering, and general services. This is a UHT facility producing UHT milk and cream.

Responsibilities will include:
- Optimising manufacturing processes to deliver high quality products
- Ensure the plant is production ready at all times
- Working closely with the engineering teams for effective maintenance
- Ensuring product quality is maintained throughout the factory
- Optimising efficiencies in production processes to increase profitability
- Motivating and developing the team

Requirements

For this role we are looking for someone who is experienced in dairy manufacturing within Europe who is able to instil their knowledge to this Middle Eastern company. If possible a degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Dairy Science, although this is not strictly required, but a strong technical understanding of food production processes is key. Understanding large and complex productions lines, HACCP, Six Sigma and ISO accreditation will give you a good background for this role.

Experience with UHT products in the dairy industry and familiarity with Tetra Pak equipment would be ideal with the candidate likely stepping up from Production Manager level or an existing Plant Manager.
