Project Director – Dairy Industry

A Senior Engineer with experience in managing large, complex, projects is required for the position of Project Director with this Egyptian Dairy group.

This dairy manufacturing group in Egypt is looking to recruit a Project Director to oversee a major new Greenfield project and several improvement projects for existing plants. Reporting directly to the CEO you will be the driving force of this new build and be responsible for site analysis, permitting and approvals, budget control, estimating, design, construction coordination and project scheduling.

The group manufacturers a range of dairy products such as milk, cream, yogurts, fruit juices and concentrates, utilising a wide range of processing equipment from Tetra Pak.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, coordinate and lead all activities of the company projects
- Ensuring all assigned projects are completed within budget and schedule
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of the project
- Oversee all consultants and contractors
- Participate in the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors and other outside vendors
- Interact with governmental and regulatory authorities
- Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, sales and finance on project issues

Requirements

For this role we require a candidate with experience in the direct management of large capex projects with a degree or equivalent in engineering, construction, architecture or a related field. You will have a drive for results, be an excellent problem-solver and have the judgment to know which creative ideas will work.

This is a challenging role, key to the growth and development of the company reporting straight into the top of the business.
