Sales & Range Leader - IKEA - Cairo Festival City - Cairo, Egypt

RANGE SELECTION
- Support the range manager to secure that the range to be sold in the local market is selected and priced each business year by keeping self updated about the local market conditions
- Support the stores and range manager to implement the annual plan for sales & range
- Key contributor in achieving the Sales and Gross Margin goals as set by the GM- Sales & Range for the business area you are responsible for, by timely monitoring of performance and highlighting areas that requires action
- Prioritize the range of products based on the trends in the local market thus ensuring width and depth of the range in each function, including all style
- groups
- Support the range planning process giving relevant feedback to the Range Manager

PRODUCT FORECASTING/PRICING
- Support the goal of Sales and Range for IKEA to be the leader in life at home
- Support the merchandise plan, article level forecasts and orders for the running Catalogue year are in line with targets and sales floor plans
- Constantly review the tracking of the movement of merchandise and in case of deviations is required to work with logistics and range to decide on correct actions. Ensuring where possible availability and customer service levels are maintained at all times as described in the ICSS
- Co-ordinate with the Logistics teams, so as to achieve the margin targets and bottom line results as well as optimisation of goods flow into the respective business units
- Provide timely reports to the GM-Sales & Range and the range managers related to the sales performance of the product range, margin trends, new product performance, discontinued and concrete products, and any other ad hoc requirements that may come from time to time
- Coordinating all activities including the range 1 & 2 files, build up orders, buffer orders and replenishment to support new stores
- Work closely with the store teams (shopkeepers and sales managers) to review competitor pricing and implement action plans accordingly, in order to secure IKEA as the low price leader CATALOGUE
- Support the Range manager in giving timely inputs to the catalogue production team regarding pricing and strategic products

COMMERCIAL CALENDAR
- Work continuously with the logistics and store teams to ensure the correct phasing in and out of new and old products
- Support the product planning (the right product, the right number, and the right time) of articles in line with the commercial calendar and marketing objectives
- Consult regularly with the store senior sales co-workers on the commercial offer, ensuring its optimal display and performance according to sales goals.

- Ideally 3-5 years in the home furnishing business or similar retailer
- Ideally experience as an IKEA Shopkeeper/line manager

Minimum Experience:

- Must have deep knowledge of home furnishing solutions
- Must have strong mathematical skills to perform margin calculations
- Must be computer literate
- Must have interest in the competitive situation of the home furnishing market
