Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Salary up to 19k plus ticket and medical.

Our client is a multinational business with an office in Media City.

Working in the Finance team, you will report to the Financial Controller in Dubai. You will be managing a team of 5 (3 in AR and 2 in AP accountants) and involved in a growing the business. Eastern Europe and Middle East Countries currently covered are: UAE, Turkey, Saudi, Poland & Czech Republic.

Review, Coordination and completion of the month end processes including:
• Accounts Payable AP – Managing AP team will include supervision & checking of Supplier invoices, Employees’ & Contractors’ Expenses and ensuring all info is entered timely and accurately on accounting system and that payments are processed by due dates.
• Ensure that all employees have submitted time sheets as per announced deadline.
• Provide information to GL team to assist in preparation of monthly Bank Reconciliations and Cash Flow Analysis
• Accounts Receivable AR – Reviewing Client Invoices and ensuring collections are correctly updated on accounting system
• Monitoring AP Accruals and Prepayments and providing necessary information to GL team to book accordingly.
• Work closely with GL team and Controller

Assist in Support and Reporting Role to the Finance Function including:
• Reporting to Global Corporate Finance Function by deadlines including compliance to US GAAP as well as accounting standards in region, Consolidation and ad hoc queries
• Day to day operational management of the regional finance AR & AP function,
• authorizing payments as needed, ensuring control, review of staff analysis.
• Running and Reviewing month-end AP & AR Reports incl. variance analysis and
• HFM uploads needed for global reporting

Assist in all company statutory matters including:
• Dealing with bank as necessary
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Contacting external auditors/tax advisors as needed as well as legal parent.
• Dealing with any ad hoc tax or legal matters

Senior administrative responsibilities, supporting management and other departmental managers with regards to:
• Involvement in the preparation of local budgets where applicable
• Assistance with regards to cost saving initiatives
• Liaison and coordination with other support departments

Processing Team Management & playing a key role in ongoing Finance Transformation
• Managing the AP and AR teams (5-6 people)
• As part of ongoing Finance transformation, successful candidate will be expected to drive and participate in the integration of 2 Finance teams and manage the integration of AP/AR processing functions

Requirements

Requirements:

• Higher accounting education, with BS degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally acquired within a certified accounting firm, followed by concrete experience in the business world
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting standards
• Knowledge of ORACLE and HFM software applications would be helpful
• English is essential
• Good sense of management and organization, and team spirit

• environment.

Location: Dubai, UAE - Candidates must already be here in Dubai

Salary: AED 18-19,000
