Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a large reputable group with western management is currently recruiting a AP Team Leader. This is a newly created position and you would be reporting to the Senior Manager-Reporting.

As an Accounts Payable Team Leader you will be responsible for the migration of the work stream into a Shared Center globally. You will be accountable for timely and accurately processing of employee expenses and invoice processing for all their entities.

Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper recording and verification of vendors invoices for goods and services. This will support timely and adequate responses to vendor queries.
- Ensure vendor invoices are accurately scanned, coded, and routed for approval so that all invoices are processed and enclosed as per company policies.
- Maintain, analyze, and reconcile accounts payable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports to ensure that financial data is correct.
- Forecasting and managing AP cash flows to ensure adequate availability of cash for paying the vendors.
- Assuring root cause analysis (RCAs) of errors and non compliant invoices (NCIs) have been performed and corrective actions have been implemented to enhance the efficiency in the process.
- Proactively look for improvements to current processes in order to maintain productivity.
- Ensure equal allocation of work within team and efficiently manage daily volume of invoices and supplier or staff queries.

Requirements

- Minimum 6-8 years professional experience in leading the AP function in a large MNC with 1-3 years in invoice process
- Degree in Accounting is preferred
- Ideally some exposure to the UAE market
- Working knowledge of large ERP systems ie Oracle, SAP etc
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven experience build a team
- Proven experience meet objectives and delivering results
