Job description / Role
To plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Infrastructure & Support Services, Administer the IT budget, staff and physical facilities of the department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop Information Technology strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
• Plan IT systems budget, manage and update.
• Management and monitoring of new system rollouts.
• Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are met.
• Negotiate service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met.
• Accountable for the management, mentoring and career development of all IT staff.
• Define and seeks approval for the level of IT resources required to meet these goals and prioritize and schedule major projects.
• Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems.
• Conduct Redundancy planning and Scalability planning.
• Direct attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops to keep up to date with Information Technology issues.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Requirements
• Professional qualification in Computer Science.
• Very specific knowledge of banking related computer systems and operations.
• Attendance of a general management, people management and change management courses.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Managerial skills to lead & control a sizable team of staff.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Sound knowledge of Banking Law and Practices
