Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The responsible candidate is required to play a key role to generate and explore the existing cash and trade flows towards enhancement of fee and commission revenues.

UAE being a major trading hub, we need to grow our share of trade finance; the incumbent would work very closely with CBGs / large Corporate and other business units with concerted or coordinated efforts to grow the wallet size.

- A pro-active approach with a dedicated experienced and knowledgeable person would add value to the job and hence bring in major impact on the non interest earning capability of the bank.
- To capitalize new business is equally vital.
- Ability to communicate with external customers in line with banks corporate policy guidelines is a prerequisite.
- To ensure that Transaction banking product revenues and profitability targets are achieved / exceeded consistently.
- To undertake market situation analysis to identify new business opportunities in co-ordination with Project Management etc.
- To provide structured solutions to meet the specific cash management and trade service requirements of our clients and prospects.
- To undertake a product-oriented sales management process and to track and report on sales activity on a periodic basis and to ensure action is taken to meet sales target.
- To provide feedback and assistance to all areas of transaction banking; e.g. Product Management, Marketing etc. and to ensure local requirements are incorporated into the ongoing plans and initiatives.
- To identify opportunities for cross selling and referrals to other areas such as Treasury etc.
- To connect with all RM teams across CBGs and to take appropriate actions and direct the trade and cash flow to the bank.
- To maintain ongoing contact with key personnel / clients to ensure targeted level of utilization and strike of recurring opportunities.

Business Development:
- Monitor the trade sales activities performed by the respective regions. Ensure that the utilization levels are as per the targeted levels by increasing the share of the wallet.

Supervision & Monitoring:
- Visit current and potential clients accompanied with the RMs / CBG Heads, review the visit / call reports from RMs to identify issues and facilitate resolution with stakeholders.

Training & Development (T&D):
- Provide advisory service and necessary training to the banks clients (existing and potential) and generate additional business and increasing our market share.
- Impart constant guidance and motivate RM teams on trade finance product and help them structure deal around them.

Marketing Results:
- The utilization of facilities by new / existing customers after H.O. approvals. Results to be reviewed through suitable MIS listings or reports, reflecting a growth of at least 40% YoY.

Regular follow up:
- Frequency of clients visit to vary between 5 - 7 clients across all CBGs on a monthly basis and identify measurable opportunities derived on such client visits

Frequency of T&D:
- Conduct sessions with RMs periodically (at least once each quarter with each CBG) and organize similar sessions with the large clients or where necessary.

Product Development:
- Develops and implement trade finance products or re-package the existing products
- Develops and implement business action plans for global trade finance in an effort to contribute and achieve the banks goal such as revenue growth, market share and corporate image.

Requirements

It is *Essential* for the candidate to have a Bachelor's Degree in Business / Accounting. (MBA preferable)

Significant experience within Trade finance and banking experience with experience of trade sales is essential.

Sound knowledge of Trade Finance, Islamic finance, ICC / UCP rules and practices and

A working knowledge of local / international / regional level regulations / legislation and AML is needed.

Sound presentation skills.
