The Role
The AX Technical Analyst will provide company-wide strategic, analytical, and technical support for the AX ERP system. The AX Technical Analyst will actively manage, customise and support the business applications. Analyse and provide technical solutions for business customizations and system improvements. Acts as an intermediary between the business community and the AX functional business analysts working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into business applications. The AX technical analyst is heavily involved in the maintenance of the ERP systems and configurations.

• At least 4-5 years of experience writing code in X++, MorphX, SSRS, SSAS, and relational databases
• Hands on experience in customizations/enhancements in Dynamics AX 2009/ AX 2012 modules including Financial/Inventory /Purchasing/Sales/ Master Planning, including managing user accounts & security profiles
• Experience with 2-4 full life cycle of Dynamics AX implementations
• Hands on experience in debugging code and unit testing written code base.
• Develop functional and technical specifications for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/ AX 2012 enhancements and integrations to other business applications. Partners with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements
• Breaking down functional requirements into technical designs, development tasks and executing to completion.
• Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements. Have an understanding of overall architecture. Design and review Technical design documents
• Administer & manage overall technical performance of the AX system. Install and manage development, test/UAT and production environments. Performs on-going monitoring and refinement of AX 2009/ AX 2012 customizations
• Assist in defect closing, defect tracking and defect root cause analysis. Assist in doing Unit, system and integration testing. Formulate deployment strategies.

• Uses current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements
