Accommodation Officer

Job description / Role

- Responsible for all administration and maintenance activities for the camp. Conducts regular inspection of the camp to ensure that standard living conditions are maintained; records all employee complaints and ensures the same are resolved within standard timelines.
- Supervises day to day cleaning activities ensuring schedules are adhered; Ensures a hygienic living environment.
- Ensures no illegal activity occurs within the camp and initiates action if any non-adherence is observed or reported.
- Coordinates with landlord for any major issues including maintenance.
- Coordinates with external service providers like DEWA, Dubai Municipality for activities like meter reading, maintenance, inspections, garbage disposal, sewerage disposal, etc.
- Ensures policies and procedures related to health and safety are adhered at all times by carrying out surprise inspections in individual rooms and ensuring that employees are well aware of HSE guidelines.
- Ensures regulatory guidelines are adhered in respect of electricity load consumption, control over potentially hazardous substances (like fuel, wooden furniture, etc.); Takes immediate remedial action if any non-adherence is observed to avoid fines / penalties.
- Ensures proper training (like first aid, firefighting, etc.) has been received by self and other nominated employees to handle emergency situations.
- Ensures permits, licenses, contracts are renewed on time to avoid any fines / penalties.
- Performs any other task that may be assigned.

Requirements

- High school or equivalent with minimum 3 years experience in camp administration or other relevant functions.
- Having strong personality and able to work under pressure.
- Good command of English and Arabic language (speaking, reading and writing) ,
- Knowledge of HSE best practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes.
- Conflict management skills.
