Job description / Role
Due to continued and ongoing contracts we are currently seeking an individual for a three month contract starting in Feb 2015. This person should have experience managing projects specifically to do with accommodation blocks and the refurbishment of same. You will be managing a team of contractors and ensuring work is carried out to the satisfaction of owners.
The role will be based in South America and accommodation/food will be included. You should be someone who is comfortable communicating at all levels and getting the best our of a workforce but at the same time ensuring good safety practices. You will be working as per specs rules/regulations within a shipyard and ensure the correct materials and products and most importantly ensuring the accommodation is complete on time
Requirements
Mechanical engineer or Naval architect. Can be from a shipbuilding background but should have specific experience dealing with accommodation units - both from new but also refurbishment of same. Outfitting superintendent. Cost control. Supervision of shipyard workers. Hands on experience
