My client is a large independent PR agency with a roots in Dubai. With a reputation on quality across all sectors with many accolades, my client has a very strong reputation on 1st to market campaigns with a truly leading style that has retained many clients for nearly 10 years

My client has a unique opportunity in its Dubai office for a senior PR professional looking to progress his/her career working with some of the leading brands in the world. Clients from Gov't to hotel chains, automotive to travel across the GCC, a truly broad integrated PR agency with 30+ employees from humble beginnings..

The position involves managing the Middle East consumer practice, to continue the reputation for creativity, dynamism and the successful delivery of first class results for its impressive portfolio of blue chip clients.

The PR Director will be responsible for managing the client teams and client liaising directly with the clients as required. Working with the relevant Company executives, they will also be involved in activities relating to new business acquisition and recruitment.

Further key responsibilities include:
- Full P&L responsibility for divisional performance
- Manage a portfolio of clients, each with individual requirements
- Oversee the management of day-to-day running of the Consumer team - ongoing communications, checking client servicing reports, actively identifying market insights etc
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships through proactive account management which will include regular face-to-face meetings and liaison
- Responsible for developing client communications strategies
- Motivate, train and develop the consumer team
- Budget programs and manage financial aspects of the client relationship
- Develop and deliver presentations to clients and prospective clients
- Contribute ideas to program development for the client and for new business proposals
- Research, design, develop, implement and manage press activities
- Partner with client and other events communications activities
- Responsible for client billing, activity reports and other client administrative duties
- Identify new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain contacts to keep informed of industry trends
- Gain comprehensive understanding of Gulf marketplace trends with a subsequent ability to counsel clients and plan strategically

Requirements

- 8 years experience in the PR Agency industry.
- Able to work in a fluid and quick moving environment.
- Tenacious, driven and resilient, with the appetite to build the Company business.
- Culturally sensitive and highly adaptable - able to successfully deliver results under frequently challenging conditions.
- Ideally experience of either automotive or sport PR, ideally both.
- Strong understanding of the Middle East (GCC and Levant) media landscape.
- Experience of managing teams, but also a team player.
- Strategic and creative thinker.
- First-class organisational skills and unbeatable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, especially writing.
